Disney just released a swimmingly cool new merchandise collection!

We’ve seen a few recent merchandise drops on shopDisney lately with the Happily Ever After Starbucks collection and the ever-growing line of Disney100 Years of Wonder collections. Even more merch is coming soon, too — we got a sneak peek from Halfway to Halloween about merch we can expect to find during spooky season. But this latest collection will have you flipping your fins in excitement to get your hands on the new items!

Disney is pulling out all the stops for the upcoming release of the live-action version of The Little Mermaid, which premieres in theaters on May 26th, 2023, and now we have some exciting new merchandise lined up. Here are a few of the options that you can shop for now on shopDisney!

First, you’ve just got to see their newly released The Little Mermaid Loungefly mini-backpack.

The front depicts images of both Ariel (played by Halle Bailey in the new movie) and Ursula (played by Melissa McCarthy) in layered appliqués in a simulated leather bag. The scalloped edge of the front zipper pocket makes for some fun added flair to the underwater design.

A quick peek of the back shows off animated versions of Ariel’s land and sea companions, Sebastian the crab (played by Daveed Diggs in the new movie) and Scuttle the seagull (played by Awkwafina).

The lining inside is full of bright vibrant colors of animated land and sea creatures set against a darker background that really makes them pop! We’re ready to dive under the sea with this bag.

Of course we have to have some truly regal ears for this Disney princess!

These new ear headbands are stunning in their shimmering design. The overall feel for these is very sea-like but also surprised us with some darker tones set against the gold scaling on the ears.

On closer examination of the ears, each side is edged in pearly beads and the center bow is printed with Ariel swimming through the sea. There’s even a small triton with a large gem in its center!

The backside of each of the ears continues the scales through the pattern, trimming a deep purple velvet headband.

We’ve also got our sights set on this belt bag!

This belt bag features a screen art front design depicting Ariel, embroidered bubbles and appliqué accents, a front zip compartment, an adjustable belt strap, and braided zipper pulls.

The gold-tone hardware really catches the eye and the inside lining is the same as that found in the Loungefly mini-backpack.

Disney’s really having some fun with new MagicBand+ designs so we figured we would see a new release here too.

This MagicBand+ is set to a beautiful ocean flora design. The tappable center icon features a unique aquatic plant.

These are only a few items from the extensive The Little Mermaid– Live Action collection that is available for purchase now on shopDisney. We also spotted a few of these items already in different stores around the Disney World parks (check the Emporium at Magic Kingdom first!)
