Your Favorite Disney Musical Could Be Coming to Central Florida!

Whether you’re catching entertainment at Disney World or Disneyland, watching a Disney movie, or seeing the latest Disney on Broadway play, there’s just something about being transported to a different world — even if it’s just for a couple of hours. And now, you can catch multiple Disney shows in celebration of the company’s 100th anniversary!

Central Florida Community Arts is a local nonprofit built to serve the Central Florida community through the arts. The CFCA performed its inaugural concert in May 2011. In 2018, they added programs for children and youth, theatrical experiences for adults in subsequent years, and a dance company. Now, they are celebrating 100 years of Disney with something special!

Central Florida Community Arts will be doing multiple Disney-themed performances this year to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Walt Disney Company!

100th Anniversary Sleeping Beauty Castle

The youth theatre will be presenting Disney’s Aladdin Jr. on May 12th-13th. Disney’s Aladdin Jr. is based on the 1992 Academy Award®-winning film and the 2014 hit Broadway show about the “diamond in the rough” street rat who learns that his true worth lies deep within. Tickets start at just $10.

The Youth Theatre will also be presenting Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s Mary Poppins on April 22nd-23rd. This performance is based on the books by P.L. Travers and the classic Walt Disney film. Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s Mary Poppins delighted Broadway audiences. Tickets begin at $20.

The CFCA will present Disney’s Beauty and the Beast in Concert on September 7th-8th. This concert is based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature, the stage version includes all of the timeless songs written by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman, along with new songs by Mr. Menken and Tim Rice. Tickets start at $10.

The Community Choir will be performing Once Upon a Dream: 100 Years of Musical Magic on May 4th-5th. This performance will feature nearly 250 voices, this immersive extravaganza will be a musical revue of Disney animated and live-action films from the last century. Tickets begin at $10.
