The HIDDEN Festival Treat You Don't Want To Miss in EPCOT

Refreshment Port

It’s time for the 2023 EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival and we’ve got a LOT to eat, see, and do! From food booths and topiaries to merchandise and even concerts to watch — there’s never a dull moment. And now we’re heading to one spot in particular — Refreshment Port — to let you know if it’s worth a try!

Eats

We can’t wait to dive into the new dish at this booth — the Shrimp Scampi Poutine with lemon garlic cheese fondue, spinach, and artichokes. You can grab this french fry phenomenon for $10.50. We’ve typically loved the festival poutines we’ve had here in the past, so how does this one hold up?

Shrimp Scampi

Our first thought was that the shrimp was very fresh and provided a bold flavor — definitely the most prominent flavor of the dish. The lemon garlic fondue is rich and delicious! The fries are nice and crispy, but do get soggy if you don’t eat them quickly enough! While seafood lovers are going to like this best, this is a solid option even for those who don’t love fishy flavors as much. The portion size is big, great if you’re looking for a meal rather than a snack.

For something on the sweeter side, we tried the Soft-serve Waffle Cone for $6. You can get this with peanut butter or jelly flavors, or get them swirled (our personal favorite.) We opted for the peanut butter and jelly swirl.

This is exactly what you probably imagine when you think of PB&J ice cream! Overall, the flavor was nutty with a hint of tang from the grape. The grape flavor tastes a bit artificial and we found this treat to be slightly heavy. However, kiddos may really like this one if PB&J is their… jam. 😉

Drinks

New to Refreshment Port for this year’s fest is the Frozen Mojito with Boyd & Blair Rum for $12. Mojitos are usually pretty refreshing, but a frozen one sounds even more refreshing.

Frozen Mojito

This mojito is bright, crisp, and delicious! This is a great choice on hot days but unfortunately melts very quickly. The citrusy taste is a bit tart as well.

If mojitos aren’t your thing, you can also get the Villa Maria Earth Garden Sauvignon Blanc for $6.50 or the Mighty Swell Purple Magic Spiked Seltzer for $11.25.

Overall

Don’t walk past Refreshment Port thinking you can skip it just because it’s always there — you’ll find some solid festival dishes here! This booth is great if you’re looking for refreshing options to satisfy your sweet tooth, or if you love seafood! We recommend this booth to those who are looking for bigger portions, so come hungry!
