A NEW Cast Member Joins ‘The Santa Clauses’ on Disney+

Okay, fans of the Disney+ series, The Santa Clauses.

We bet you’ve been keeping up with all the news about the series since season 2 was confirmed. That’s right, Scott Calvin and his family are returning to the North Pole, but this time, he’ll have a few MORE people with him. A NEW actor has been cast for the show!

According to Variety, Eric Stonestreet (Modern Family) will be joining The Santa Clauses for season 2. He’ll be playing Magnus Antas, aka the Mad Santa, who was Santa during the 14th century — now he’s come back to take back that role and the North Pole. So, he’s like an evil Santa…ooh, we’re intrigued!

He’ll join returning cast members Tim Allen as Scott Calvin/Santa Claus, Elizabeth Mitchell as Mrs. Claus/Carol, Elizabeth Allen-Dick as Sandra Calvin Claus, Austin Kane as Cal Calvin Claus, Matilda Lawler as Betty, and Devin Bright as Noel. Guest stars for season 2 will include Marta Kessler as Olga, a gnome who is Magnus’ sidekick. Other returning guest stars include Liam Kyle as Gary, Isabella Bennett as Edie, Sasha Knight as Crouton, Ruby Jay as Riley, Mia Lynn Bangunan as Pontoon, and Laura San Giacomo as La Befana.

Season 2 will pick up shortly after season 1 after the Calvins saved Christmas (again). He’ll be focusing on training his son to take over as Santa when he retires. Disney has not mentioned a release date for the season 2 premiere, but we’ll let you know when Disney announces it.
