Haunted Mansion Is Having a ROUGH Day in Disney World

Magic Kingdom is home to tons of classic rides that are big bucket list items for many.

Unfortunately, sometimes these rides have unexpected difficulties that could throw off your day in the parks! Today, we noticed one of our favorite rides was down when we got a notice in the My Disney Experience app.

At around 2PM today, we received a pop-up message in the app from the Vice President of Magic Kingdom Park, Melissa Valiquette, that Haunted Mansion is temporarily closed.

In the message, she shares that Cast Members are working diligently to get the attraction up and running again soon.

We noticed first thing this morning that Haunted Mansion was closed, so it looks like the ride has had a rough day. Disney did not say what the exact cause of the closure was, but we hope Disney can get this attraction running again soon!

Keep in mind, if you have made a Genie+ selection for this ride and it is closed during your window, you will get a multi-experience redemption good for other select rides in the park. Make sure you head to Guest Relations if you need to sort out how to use it!
