REVIEW: A Reliable Disney Snack Just Got a Makeover

Yesterday was an important day — it’s the day when we ate our WEIGHT in purple food in Disneyland.

Okay, actually, it’s a little more important than that! This year marks the 100th Anniversary of the Walt Disney Company, and Disneyland is celebrating in a BIG way with new nighttime shows, all kinds of collectibles, and (of course) LOTS of food! That celebration is officially underway, so we’re heading over to the parks to enjoy some special food!

Ready to snack? Alrighty then! We’re headed over to Refreshment Corner in Disneyland, where you’ll find the Violet Pretzel, which is a cream cheese-filled pretzel drizzled with salted vanilla cream and lavender sugar. Well, that sounds interesting enough.

You can pick up this snack for $7.59. So what does it taste like? Well, it’s basically just a normal delicious cream cheese-filled Disney pretzel. We enjoyed the vanilla cream drizzle but didn’t really taste any lavender. Overall, if you’re a fan of cream cheese-filled Disney pretzels, we recommend this treat!

There’s also a new 100th Anniversary drink here — and yes, it’s ALSO purple. It’s the Sparkling Grape for $5.79, which is Sprite with grape syrup topped with a candy strip. So how is this PURPLEY drink?

If you enjoy Sprite and a little bit of grape flavor, you’ll enjoy this drink! The grape flavor isn’t super strong, and we enjoyed that the drink wasn’t overly artificially sweet. However, if you’re not a fan of grapes or Sprite, this likely isn’t the drink for you.
