Important UPDATE About Disney’s NEW 100th Anniversary Nighttime Show

The start of Disney’s 100th Anniversary celebration is coming up soon, which means it’s almost time for a new nighttime show to debut in Disneyland!

Wondrous Journeys is a new nighttime spectacular that will premiere in Disneyland on January 27th, 2023. We’ve already learned quite a bit about Wondrous Journeys — for example, we know that the Sleeping Beauty Castle will be transformed into Casa Madrigal from Disney’s Encanto during one segment! But Disney just released even more updates about the new show.

Wondrous Journeys will debut at 9:30PM on January 27th. The show will feature “state-of-the-art projection effects,” special lighting, and more. On select nights, there will also be fireworks.

According to Scott Gustin, Wondrous Journeys will include nods to EVERY movie released by Walt Disney Animation Studios. We can’t wait to see some underrated movies (like Treasure Planet) finally get some love in a Disney park! There will be 18 different Disney songs played throughout the show, along with a new song called “It’s Wondrous.”

One of the most exciting additions to this show is a scene where Baymax flies over the castle! “During a climactic moment in the story, the thumping bass of the song ‘Immortals’ from Big Hero 6 can be heard as Baymax takes to the skies over Disneyland Park with his rocket boosters propelling him into the night.”

If you want to see the new show on its opening night, make sure you’re inside Disneyland Park on January 27th at 9:30PM! And don’t forget that another new show is debuting at Disney California Adventure on the same night: World of Color — One will premiere at 9PM on the 27th.
