How Construction in Disney World Could Ruin Your Lunch Plans

The one thing you can count on at Disney World is change — things are constantly changing, evolving, growing, being updated, or under construction at some point.

Right now, EPCOT is still undergoing a HUGE transformation. There’s construction going on over at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. The Grand Floridian is getting some work done. There’s even construction happening over at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort — and that construction could affect your lunch plans.

We visited the Caribbean Beach Resort today and stopped by Spyglass Grill, which usually serves hot AND cold lunch and dinner items.

However, we were told by a Cast Member that the restaurant was NOT serving hot lunch right now and wouldn’t be serving hot food again until 5PM. We were then told that it’s because the construction around the hotel has affected the lunch business there.

However, you can still pick up cold food, like sandwiches, salads, and pastries at this location. But keep this lunch change in mind if you’ll be staying there soon. If you’re looking for quick service hot food at Caribbean Beach, though, you can head to Centertown Market.

It’s a good idea to keep up with construction happening at Disney World — you never know how it might affect your plans. We’ll do our best to keep you updated, so stay tuned to DFB for more!
