It’s time to take on another Festival of the Arts food booth, and this time we’re visiting a CONTROVERSIAL booth!
EPCOT’s 2023 Festival of the Arts is officially underway and we’ve been making our way through the entire park to show you everything this Festival has to offer. From full menus for ALL of the Festival booths to a complete list of the concerts you’ll be able to catch, we’ve got you covered! Now, we’re taking you on a food adventure through the L’Arte de Mangiare booth. Is this a booth you absolutely have to visit, or one you should definitely skip? Let’s find out together!
Menu
Over at the L’Arte de Mangiare booth in the Italy pavilion of EPCOT’s World Showcase, you’ll find a variety of available items. This booth has an entirely NEW food menu, but all of the drinks are returning from previous years. The eats here include Mozzarella Fritta, Ravioli ai Funghi, and Budino al Cioccolato, and there’s a variety of wines and sangrias on the drinks menu.
Now that we’ve taken a look at the menu, let’s dive into the food itself!
Eats
All of the eats are new here, so let’s try them out! First up, we grabbed the Mozzarella Fritta, which is flash-fried breaded fresh mozzarella with artist palette condiments. You can get it for $8.25.
This was SUCH a fun create-your-own sort of art project. The presentation was so creative, but it was kind of expensive for what you get! It’s just one large fried cheese puck — we wish there was more to it for the price. This could definitely be a Best of the Fest contender for kids.
Next up is the Ravioli ai Funghi, Perle Tartufate, which is wild mushroom-stuffed pasta with truffle butter and truffle pearls. You can get this one for $9.25. WHOA baby — we hope you like bold flavors. This was very mushroom-forward with a strong truffle aftertaste. Probably not for mushroom haters or those averse to strong flavors. But, if you do like those fun(gi) flavors — this might be worth a try! It is expensive for the portion, so keep that in mind.

Now, it’s time for dessert! We grabbed the Budino al Cioccolato, which is chocolate pudding with colorful chocolate décor. It’s available for $8. Well, we don’t really know what we were expecting, but this tasted like chocolate pudding. It was richer and more chocolatey than what you might find in the grocery store or make on the stove, but it just tasted like a standard chocolate pudding to us!
Now that we’ve seen what the food items have to offer this year, let’s find out what we’re drinkin’.
Drinks
In terms of drinks on this menu, you can try a few different wines and sangrias. There’s Italian Sangria in Red or White for $11.75 a glass.
The Italian White Sangria with Prosecco (which we tried in 2021) was pretty tasty. Both sangria options had a lot of fruit flavor without being too sweet.
You can also find Peroni Pilsner, which costs $6.50 for a 6-oz. pour or $10.75 for a 12-oz. pour. Chianti costs $11 a glass, and Prosecco is also $11. In the past, that Prosecco was VERY dry — so a good choice for those who like a dry bubbly. If you like sweet drinks, you’re probably better off snagging a sangria instead.
There’s an Italian Margarita with tequila and limoncello for $11.75. This is a sweet and fun take on the classic Margarita. And finally, there’s an Amaretto Bellini for $13.75.
This drink is made with DISARONNO Originale Liqueur, white peach purée, and prosecco.
OVERALL
When it comes to the Italy booth, we’re still not totally convinced. While the Mozzarella Fritta was a SUPER fun and creative dish, we wish there was more for the price. The ravioli might be worth a try if you love mushrooms and truffles, but it’s still not our favorite dish we’ve had. If you’re looking to be wowed by a booth, we wouldn’t suggest this one as a first choice. With that being said, there are some tasty drinks here — so it may still be worth a visit!
