The Marvel Cinematic Universe isn’t just movies anymore — the universe has expanded into some exciting TV shows, too.
WandaVision was the first MCU series to arrive on Disney+ (followed by several others), and it’s getting a spin-off series, all based on the character Agatha Harkness. The show is called Agatha: Coven of Chaos and is bringing some HUGE talent to the screen, including one actress previously seen on WandaVision.
In WandaVision, That 70s Show actress Debra Jo Rupp played Mrs. Hart, one of the residents of Westview, presumably under Wanda’s spell. According to Deadline, Rupp will return for the Agatha Harkness-focused spin-off series.
We don’t have any details yet about Rupp’s role in the series or if she’s reprising her role as Mrs. Hart (although if she WAS a resident of Westview, we all know that character might have been created by Wanda). Rupp is the third actress announced to be returning from WandaVision, along with Katherine Hahn as Agatha and Emma Caulfield Ford as Dottie.
Other actors joining the cast include Joe Locke, Aubrey Plaza, Ali Ahn, Maria Dizzia, Sasheer Zamata, and Pattie LuPone. Needless to say, this cast is star-studded, and we’re looking forward to whatever fun twists and surprises it holds along the way.
There is also no word on whether WandaVision star Elizabeth Olsen will be returning as Scarlet Witch (who is presumed dead after the events of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness — but not everyone stays dead in the MCU).
You’ll be able to catch Agatha: Coven of Chaos on Disney+ in winter 2023.
