The year 2023 is a VERY special one for the Walt Disney Company — it’s the year when the company turns 100 years old!

That is — obviously — a cause for celebration, and Disney has BIG plans to throw a big party starting in Disneyland! Sleeping Beauty Castle will get a 100th anniversary makeover AND TWO new nighttime shows are coming to the parks. Now, we’ve got some NEW details about one of those nighttime shows, Wondrous Journeys.

Wondrous Journeys will celebrate 100 years of Walt Disney with characters, music, and scenes from both classic and modern Disney movies. New concept art released even shows Sleeping Beauty Castle transformed into Casa Madrigal from Encanto!

Other movies featured will include Hercules, The Princess and the Frog, Peter Pan, Frozen, Big Hero 6, Moana, Treasure Planet (YES, TREASURE PLANET IS GETTING SOME LOVE!), and more!

There will be “state-of-the-art projection effects” that surround guests with sketches and animations, special lighting effects. and more. On select nights, the show will also have the addition of fireworks! PLUS one scene will feature Baymax flying above the castle!

Even Baymax is part of the show!

The show will also feature a brand new song called “It’s Wondrous.” Disney recently shared a behind-the-scenes video of the recording session for the song.

Wondrous Journeys will make its debut the night of January 27th, 2023 at 9:30PM (this will be one of the select nights with fireworks, too!).
