This Is the Most Bizarre Thing We’ve Seen in Disney World This Weekend

Amidst all the holiday hustle and bustle in Disney World, we’re still keeping our eyes out for anything out of the ordinary.

And if we’re being honest, we’ve seen some strange things in Disney over the years. Not only have we seen them, but we’ve DONE lots of them, too! But now we’re seeing an entirely new bizarre thing for Disney, and that’s creating merchandise for movies and TV shows over 2 decades old!

While walking around Disney Springs, we spotted a new Flubber Long-Sleeved Shirt. If Flubber doesn’t sound familiar, that’s because the movie is from 1997!

Flubber? In 2022?

Today’s kids, teens, and some young adults likely have no idea who Flubber is or that the movie exists. But this isn’t exactly what makes it bizarre — what makes it bizarre is that Disney has been doing this A LOT lately! We just spotted an Anastasia mug in Disney World and online, even though that movie is ALSO from 1997.

The truth is that both of these films, along with many other Disney films (or like Anastasia, films that Disney NOW owns because they’ve acquired 20th Century Fox) are celebrating their 25th Anniversaries, so this could be why Disney is pushing new merchandise like this.

Regardless, it is peculiar to see these ’90s films come back around with new merchandise.
