It’s been an interesting week at Disney World, to say the least.
With Tropical Storm Nicole on the way, we saw the Orlando International Airport close, and the Disney parks and Disney Springs soon followed suit. Disney World did reopen today, so let’s take a look at what things look like there now.
Magic Kingdom reopened at 12PM today. When we arrived, it was still very windy and rainy, so the storm wasn’t completely gone from this area yet.
The parks are OPEN and the trams are very, very wet…but let’s do this. pic.twitter.com/1Y2unEfP6N

However, the trams in the parking lot were running. Only one line for security was open, so it was pretty backed up.
There was also a long line for the Monorail because the ferry to Magic Kingdom was closed.
When we entered the park, it wasn’t that crowded on Main Street, U.S.A.
This is what it looked like about an hour after opening:

We also noticed that waits for rides were relatively low. However, there were a few rides down, like Tom Sawyer Island, Jingle Cruise, and Aladdin’s Magic Carpets.
There were very few crowds around Cinderella Castle — this is the emptiest we’ve seen the hub in a long time.
Other areas of the park were busier, but still not as crowded as we’ve seen over the past few days.
Liberty Square was one of the more crowded areas of the park today, but as you can see, it’s not bad at all!
We ran into some long entrance lines before Disney’s Animal Kingdom opened, too.

We checked out Kilimanjaro Safaris to see if there was any damage to the Savana, but everything looked to be in good shape! As we saw before with Hurricane Ian, the Animal Kingdom Cast Members take good care of the animals during storms.
