REVIEW: Come With Us To Try Two NEW Gideon's Bakehouse Offerings in Disney Springs!

Well, it’s the beginning of the month and that means we have SO many new snacks to try in Disney World.

Gideon’s Bakehouse

First, holiday snacks are arriving in the parks, and give us ALL those great holiday flavors. But the pumpkin life is still strong because it’s STILL fall (and yes, we DID eat a lot of pumpkin snacks already through Halloween). So we’re heading over to Disney Springs to try two NEW pumpkin snacks.

That’s right, we’re back at Gideon’s Bakehouse because there’s a new cookie of the month!

New month, new cookie

This month’s cookie is the Pumpkin Bread Chocolate Crumb Cookie for $6. It’s made with pumpkin, Gideon’s House pumpkin spice blend, a little bit of chocolate, and pumpkin butter crumbs.

If you love pumpkin like we do, this cookie is a MUST. It’s VERY tasty and we love the sweet crumbles on the outside.

The chocolate pumpkin bread on the inside of the cookie is also quite nice. This cookie IS very sweet, so keep that in mind — a sweet tooth is required to properly enjoy it.

However, we also got a chance to try a limited-edition cake slice. The Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cake Slice for $9 is pretty much the cookie — in cake form! It has three layers of vanilla cake with chocolate chips surrounded by a pumpkin spice cream cheese buttercream — and those same delicious butter crumbs are on the outside.

This cake ALSO tastes like fall and is another must for pumpkin lovers. Like the cookie, though, it is VERY sweet, although there’s a good ratio of frosting to cake. It’s also a LOT, so you can share it.

If you do head over to Gideon’s Bakehouse, you will probably need to understand how things work there. The location in Disney Springs is kinda’ small, so there’s often a virtual queue. You just need to meet the Cast Member waiting outside the shop and give your phone number — you’ll get a text when it’s your turn to go inside!

This may seem like an awful lot of work for a cookie and/or cake slice, but TRUST US. Gideon’s is totally worth it (and it’s in such demand because most guests know that). But the virtual queue lets you do other stuff while you wait, so take some time to go shopping!
