There are lots of places where you can meet characters all the time in Disney World, but sometimes rare or unusual meet-and-greets pop up for a limited time around the parks.

Chip and Dale

For example, Mickey is usually at the Town Square Theater in Magic Kingdom, and Olaf frequently hangs out at Celebrity Spotlight at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. But during some after-hours parties and events, we’ve spotted Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, Haunted Mansion characters, and even Sebastian from The Little Mermaid. Today, we found some familiar characters in an unusual spot, and they were wearing very interesting outfits!

While we were in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom today, we found Chip and Dale meeting guests in front of Space Mountain! This duo can usually be found greeting people over in Storybook Circus, but it looks like they’re trying out a new spot today.

Part of the reason for the location change might have been so that the setting matches their fancy outfits. They were wearing space-themed costumes, with blue and silver vests and sparkly silver helmets that have antennas on top.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Chip and Dale don new costumes. During Disney+ Day this year, we found them in their Rescue Rangers outfits at Hollywood Studios.

And another time, they were putting on a fashion show using picnic blankets and baskets out in front of the Hollywood Brown Derby restaurant!

One of our favorite looks for this duo is their dinosaur costumes at Donald’s Dino-Bash in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

If you want to take a pic with Chip and Dale in their futuristic ‘fits, head to Space Mountain ASAP — according to one Cast Member we spoke to, they’ll only be in Tomorrowland for 3 more days. (Apparently, the relocation is due to some construction over in Storybook Circus.)
