A Word of Warning About the New GRAPE Churro in Disney World

The Halloween offerings are STILL coming in Disney World!

There are tons of Halloween offerings in Disney World right now — you’ve got Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, a Halloween scavenger hunt, and lots of snacks to try all around the parks and hotels. If you thought Disney was out of new treats now that we’ve only got a few more weeks until Halloween, surprise! We just tried a Spooktacular Grape Halloween Churro in Disney Springs and it was NOT what we were expecting.

The Spooktacular Churro at Sunshine Churros in Disney Springs is a Disney churro rolled in grape sugar and drizzled with orange cream cheese frosting and topped with Halloween sprinkles. We were a little nervous about the grape flavor, but we actually really enjoyed this treat overall!

Our warning to you is that the grape flavor is really lacking here — sometimes grape-flavored things are way too overpowering, but we found ourselves searching for grape! The grape sugar didn’t taste much like grape, but more like the normal sugar you get on a churro. However, the cream cheese frosting was delicious with the warm churro. If you’re a churro fan who loves Halloween, this is a fun offering you’ll likely really enjoy!

However, if you really are looking for a grape flavor here you’ll likely be disappointed, as it’s very underwhelming. Halloween fans who enjoy normal churros will love this offering though, so you can grab it for $7.95 until October 31st. This is a bit pricey for not delivering the grape flavor and some cute Halloween sprinkles, so you might want to opt for one of the classic churro flavors for $5.25.

We loved it!

Although we haven’t tried a grape-flavored churro before, we HAVE tried a ghost pepper grape sauce for churros over at Disneyland. Let’s just say it was…interesting! We actually enjoyed it and it did have a stronger flavor than this grape churro in Disney World. Maybe we need this spooky churro with a side of grape dip!
