It is officially Halloween Time in Disneyland!

We’ve made our way around the FIRST Oogie Boogie Bash of 2022, checked out the merchandise, enjoyed spooky food, and more! But does anything say Halloween more than Disney villains? Disney teased some NEW villains that would appear at the party this year, so join us now to meet the new baddies at this year’s event!

This year’s party brings out some classic villains, as well as some fun Marvel villains. But we’re here to meet the new baddies, and we were not disappointed!

First up, at one of the treat trails this year you can meet THE Ernesto de la Cruz from Coco!

Ernesto appeared in skeleton form and was performing songs, talking, and overall just being INCREDIBLE.

Ernesto may have made his debut here, but we seriously hope he’ll make his way over to other parks or events in the future.

Another new villain we spotted at the party this year was Madam Mim from The Sword in the Stone.

She was at another treat trail and was mentioning how people should come dressed as her instead of Merlin. So if you were looking for some Oogie Boogie Bash costume inspiration, there you go! 😆

Also NEW to the party this year is Mother Gotel from Tangled. She’s located at another treat trail and was surrounded by lots of flowers that look somewhat similar to the ones from the movie. Looks like she could be staying young for a while!

She was also giving out friendly reminders that “mother knows best.” You’ll probably want to follow her instructions if you come to visit! 😂

And finally, while they’re not the OG version of the villains, we have to mention that at the party you can also go to a meet-and-greet spot where you’ll find Minnie, Daisy, and Clarabelle dressed up as the Sanderson sisters from Hocus Pocus!

How awesome are these looks?! You can spot these friends in their Sanderson Sisters costumes on Disney Cruise Line this year as well.

If you’re headed to Oogie Boogie Bash, be sure to make time to meet these new wicked additions to the party. Lines for the some photo ops, especially the new ones, can get very long so be sure to give yourself PLENTY of time to check them out.

But those aren’t the only characters you can meet during the party! New to the festivities is Bruno from Encanto, and there are other characters to spot around the park too.

If you don’t already have tickets for Oogie Boogie Bash, though, you’re unfortunately out of luck — the parties sold out quickly this year. There are still a ton of other fun things you can do in Disneyland during Halloween Time though, like ride Haunted Mansion Holiday, enjoy all the spooktacular decorations in both parks, and eat spooky snacks.
