It’s time to get spooky, friends!
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party has kicked off in Disney World and we attended the FIRST night to share all of the details with you. We’ve got a look at the map, the merchandise, the collectible bag, and so much more. But we’ve also got alllll the snack reviews you could ever want. Right now, we’re making our way to one Magic Kingdom spot to get a party-EXCLUSIVE treat, but is it worth it? Let’s find out!
Over at Golden Oak Outpost you can find a NEW treat that is exclusive to those attending the Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. The treat is the Spellbinding Fried Pie, which is made with buffalo chicken, mozzarella, and blue cheese wrapped in flaky dough topped with a candy eye and jalapeño ranch aïoli.
We’re not gonna lie. It’s just a tiny bit creepy to eat something that can STARE back at you with an eye (albeit a candy one). It gave us major Toad Burger vibes.
So maybe you’ll need a blindfold to eat this one, but once you get past that single eye STARING into your soul, how does it taste?
It has a lot more buffalo than we were expecting, but definitely not in a negative way. The blue cheese is pretty noticeable, so you might want to avoid this one if you don’t like that flavor. The aioli was subtle, but a nice addition. Our main complaint is that we thought this was a tad overpriced for the size that you get. (And also, that eye…it’s creepy! 😂)
If you want to grab this treat to try it for yourself (if you’re brave enough!), head to Golden Oak Outpost during the Halloween Party and get it for $9.99.
