REVIEW: Sometimes Basic Isn't Bad When it Comes to Disney Desserts

There are some pretty great options for both — like corn dog nuggets and spring rolls for the savory fans, and Dole Whip and ice cream for the sweet fans! But, who says you have to choose? You can totally have a good selection of both (that’s what we do!). But, which options are worth your time? Well, that’s why we’re here, so we can try things out and tell you if they’re worth the money or not! So, let’s check out a fun dessert over in Disneyland!

This is the Sleeping Beauty Castle Cupcake from GCH Craftsman Grill at Disney’s Grand Californian Resort! We found it for $8.

How fun!

It’s a Funfetti Cupcake with Vanilla Pink and Blue Frosting and a White Chocolate Castle on top.

It’s very fitting for the theme

This design is super fun, referencing the “make it pink, make it blue” scene from Sleeping Beauty, and it totally matches Disneyland’s castle, but how does it taste?

We’re about to find out!

Well, this is pretty much just your average Disney cupcake, but that’s not a bag thing! Disney’s cupcakes are usually pretty tasty, and this one was no different.

Basic, but good!

The cake itself was fresh, moist, and fluffy. It was very sweet, but still delicious! This is also a pretty light dessert compared to some other, heavier cupcakes we’ve had in the past.

A great option for a little sweet treat

If you want something super sweet that will also look pretty in pictures, this is a great option! But, if you’re looking for a more unique or exciting dessert, we’d suggest getting something else, like a fun Dole Whip creation.
