One of our favorite things to do in Disney World is to try new food!
Recently, we’ve tried a red, white, and blue slushy in EPCOT, a Baymax s’mores treat in Disney Springs, and some of the new menu items at Mama Melrose’s in Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Today, we’re heading to the Magic Kingdom to try a brand new frozen treat from Aloha Isle.
The Fritz Freeze is brand new to the menu at Aloha Isle TODAY and is a raspberry and vanilla soft-serve pineapple float with a red chocolate feather. It is named for Fritz, one of the masters of ceremony at the Enchanted Tiki Room (which explains the chocolate feather).
We really liked this treat and thought it had a nice fruit flavor with the pineapple juice and raspberry soft-serve coupled with the creaminess brought to the table by the vanilla soft-serve. If you’re someone who likes Dole Whip, then you’ll probably like this treat!
Also, as with all frozen Disney World treats, it falls prey to the Florida heat and melts very quickly, so make sure you eat fast! If the Fritz Freeze sounds like something you would enjoy, you can grab it from Aloha Isle for $7.49, but if you’re looking for non-fruity soft-serve, you may need to look elsewhere.
Storybook Treats in Fantasyland has you covered if you’re looking for more traditional soft-serve. There, you can get vanilla and chocolate soft-serve, plus sundaes, and ice cream floats. It also has unique concoctions, like the Seven Dwarfs Specialty Cone, which changes seasonally and is currently chocolate coffee and vanilla caramel soft-serve in a cone with a chocolate belt buckle and a chocolate face.
And if you’re not interested in soft-serve at all, head up to the Main Street Confectionery where you can grab some delicious bakery items like a Peanut Butter Cookie Pie and the infamous Snickers Pound Cake.
As always, make sure to stay tuned to DFB for more Disney World food reviews!
