Disney Parks around the world have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Several parks closed and reopened including Disney World, Disneyland Resort in California, Disneyland Paris, and even Hong Kong Disneyland. Shanghai Disney Resort had to close in March, and we’ve seen more and more of the resort slowly reopen. We recently got an update that more of the resort would be reopening soon — and now, we know exactly when that will be!
Shanghai Disneyland will reopen on June 30th, 2022! Tickets will be available for purchase starting on June 29th.
During the initial reopening phase, management will be implementing “enhanced health and safety measures” and will “undertake a careful ramp-up of operations.” Shanghai Disneyland will join Disneytown, Wishing Star Park, and Shanghai Disneyland Hotel in providing entertainment to guests.
The park will reopen with limited daily capacity and enhanced safety protocols, and a majority of attractions, shopping, and dining locations will also reopen with limited capacity. Not all experiences will be available when the park reopens, however.
Tickets will become available on June 29th, with a limited number available for purchase daily. Reservations for Shanghai Disneyland Annual Passes will also be available beginning on June 29th as well, and all passholders are required to make advanced reservations.
Health and safety measures in place for all guests include providing a green Shanghai Health QR Code and a negative Nucleic Acid Test taken within a 72-hour window before entering Shanghai Disney. Additionally, guests must present a green code and Travel Itinerary Card, and complete the Health Declaration Form, before they’ll be allowed to enter the park. Temperature screening is required upon entry and all guests must wear masks at all times, indoors and outdoors, unless eating. Social distancing will also be required.
