The way guests skip the line is changing in many Disney parks. Last year, Disney World unveiled Genie+ and the pay-per-ride system and Disneyland Paris introduced something called the Premier Access system, which is similar to Genie+ in that guests can choose to pay a fee to skip the line at eligible attractions.
These services have been replacing the previously used FastPass system, and now, Premier Access is coming to another Disney park.
Tokyo Disney announced recently that the two parks, Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea will use Premier Access for two rides beginning on May 19th.
At Tokyo Disneyland, Premier Access will be available for Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast, and at Tokyo DisneySea, it will be available for Soaring: Fantastic Flight. It will be 2,000 yen for each ride, which is about $15.50 USD. This is similar, if not a little higher, to prices we’ve seen for Individual Lightning Lanes in Disney World for things like Rise of the Resistance in Hollywood Studios.
Guests wishing to purchase Premier Access for these rides can do so through the Tokyo Disney Resort App by tapping “Disney Premier Access” under the My Plan section of the app. From there, you will be able to choose the members of your party, select your experience, and pay.
Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast and Soaring: Fantastic Flight will be the only two rides available when Premier Access arrives in Tokyo Disney on May 19th, but we’ll be on the lookout to see if more rides are added. As always, make sure to follow DFB for all the latest Disney news!
