Get out those lightsabers and put your hair in Princess Leia buns, Star Wars Day is near!
May the 4th (as in May the Fourth be with you) is Star Wars Day! Disney World and Disneyland are celebrating with limited-time eats, special photo opportunities, and more! But what if your idea of a perfect Star Wars Day is all about the shopping? Well, if you’re hoping to grab some limited-edition Star Wars merch, there’s something important you need to know about.
Today, Disney sent out a push notification via the My Disney Experience app and specified that a virtual queue will be utilized for the May the 4th shopping experience in Disney World.
Disney noted that there will be a mix of limited-edition Star Wars-themed merchandise available at Stage 1 Company Store in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Items available will include clothing, collectibles, and even limited-release pins.
If you want to snag any of these items, you’ll need to utilize the virtual queue — a standby queue will NOT be offered.
To access the virtual queue, you’ll need to use the My Disney Experience app. The virtual queue will open up once Disney’s Hollywood Studios opens on May 4th. The park is scheduled to officially open at 8AM (note that Early Theme Park Hours will let Resort Hotel guests in at 7:30AM).
Remember that to enter the park you will need a valid ticket and Park Pass reservation. Merchandise will be subject to availability and things could sell out, so be sure to join that virtual queue as soon as you can if you want the best chance at checking it out!
If you’re heading to Disney’s Hollywood Studios tomorrow, don’t let this virtual queue take you by surprise! Sign up early and keep an eye out for any updates. As always, stay tuned to DFB for more Disney news!
