We JUST found out that Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is set to open on May 27th, 2022 — but that’s not all!
It’s opening SOON!
Disney also released a new commercial for the ride, and we’ve got a better idea of the plot now!
The video starts off with someone shouting about the Nova Corps outpost at EPCOT on Earth being in danger. You can see Spaceship Earth out the window!

They then yell that everything is disappearing, and we see people and objects just completely zipping backward out of existence. The Nova Corps officer is holding up a communicator, and the individuals on the other end of that communicator are the Guardians of the Galaxy in their ship!

The officer says to “Help the galaxy – before it’s too late!” which grabs Rocket’s attention, and he tries to wake Star-Lord without success. So, Rocket takes the controls and blasts off for EPCOT, saying “It’s save the galaxy time – again.” Disney says this is probably where we (the guests on the ride) will come in to help!
