Star Wars fans have really been spoiled over the past few years.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

They’ve had new shows like The Mandalorian (which also brought us our beloved Grogu) and The Book of Boba Fett, as well as places where they can actually immerse themselves into the world, like Galaxy’s Edge and the Galactic Starcruiser. But, the most exciting thing of all might still be yet to come — the new Obi-Wan Kenobi series for Disney+ (premiering on May 25th). And, we have a FIRST LOOK at the new series!

Entertainment Weekly has released exclusive first look photos of the new Star Wars series, as well as new info about the show! Ewan McGregor (who plays Obi-Wan) says, “We find Obi-Wan at the beginning of our story rather broken, and faithless, and beaten, somewhat given up.”

We’re also introduced to the force-sensitive Inquisitor Reva (played by Moses Ingram), who will apparently prove a formidable new foe as she looks for Jedi-in-hiding for the Empire.

This photo seems to suggest that Obi-Wan Kenobi has been living in a cave on Tatooine in order to watch over Luke Skywalker.

The trio of Reva, the Grand Inquisitor, and Darth Vader all share a “common dark-side goal,” according to Ingram.

And, there’s a first look of Joel Edgerton as Uncle Owen!

Then, there is this photo of Obi-Wan donning his cloak again in order to travel to places like the new planet of Daiyu, which “sort of has a Hong Kong feel to it,” says writer Joby Harold.

Obi-Wan is also on the cover of Entertainment Weekly, and he’s got a lightsaber, people!
