The Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival is MADE for people who are looking for a taste of California while in Disneyland. We’re trying the food, we’re trying the wine (obviously), and we’re shopping along the way, too! There’s a LOT to cover, so let’s get into it!

Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival is BACK!
With a name as cute as”Berry Patch,” we’re already excited to see what’s available. We’re expecting to be berry impressed (sorry, not sorry), so let’s check out the menu!
In 2020, the Berry Patch booth served some sweet treats and even sweeter drinks. This year, we’ve got THREE new items to check out.
It’s like a whole new booth this year; fingers crossed we find some winners at the Berry Patch!
Menu
The menu has two snacks and one specialty beverage available, and you already know we’re here to try them ALL! First up, there’s a Strawberry Cheesecake for $6.50. Or, if cheesecake isn’t your thing, check out the Blueberry-Buttermilk Pie for $6!
We’d like to personally thank the genius that came up with the concept of dessert cocktails. This year, you can try a new Cherry-Chocolate-Mint Dessert Cocktail for $15. To enhance your drink, there are also some Glow Cube Charms available for an additional $5.50.
Eats
The new Strawberry Cheesecake is made with Lemon Chantilly. It was $6.50, and photographs pretty well, don’t you think? Unfortunately, it let us down a little bit in the taste department.
It’s not very sweet at all, and we had a particularly hard time tasting the lemon in the chantilly. We were hoping for a little more graham cracker crust as well, because it took two bites to even get some on our spoon. However, the positive is that the cheesecake itself was very smooth and had a great texture.
We also tried the Blueberry-Buttermilk Pie for $6! And honestly, we thought this was one of the BEST items at the entire festival. All the flavors and textures just blended really well together to create the ultimate treat.
It’s incredibly fresh and the sweet and tart flavors are well-balanced together. The texture was just right — not too mushy or chewy. And the pie crust really brings it all together nicely…it wasn’t so crunchy that it was hard to bite.
But what about if you want something to drink? Well, they’ve got options for that too!
Drinks
The Cherry-Chocolate-Mint Dessert Cocktail is made with Vodka, crème de menthe liqueur, cherry, chocolate syrup, coconut cream, and heavy whipping cream. It’s pretty expensive at $15, but we thought it would be a great item to split between multiple people.
Why is that? Well, it’s a LOT. It’s very chocolatey and very minty, and those flavors can be a bit overwhelming. There’s the smallest hint of cherry, but the drink is SUPER sweet overall. The whipped cream and chocolate on top were a nice touch. By the time we were a few sips in, we realized that there’s a very slim chance that one person could finish this on their own!
Overall
So what was our overall impression of this booth? Well, if you go here and only get one thing, make it that Blueberry-Buttermilk Pie! It was the standout item here, and we would eat it again and again. The other two treats are a little less exciting, but still worth a shot if you’re a particularly big fan of their ingredients.
If you’re looking for a fruity little treat and love berries, this is the booth for you. It’s definitely worth a visit on your next trip!
Be sure to stick around; we’ll be checking out ALL the booths at this year’s festival. And stay tuned to DFB for the latest in Disney food news and updates from Disney World and Disneyland Resort.
