As if today wasn’t exciting enough already with all of the food coming to EPCOT for Flower and Garden Festival, there are also 8 new spring treats debuting in Hollywood Studios!
We’ve already tried out one of these sweet treats, so come along with us to check out another new dessert!
This is the new Enchanted Rose! It’s a Beauty and the Beast themed treat that has Dark Chocolate Mousse with a taste of Blackcurrant and Morella Cherry-Chocolate Shortbread Cookie with Whipped Cookies ’n Cream Fluff and gilded Chocolate-covered Cacoa Nibs.
The mousse in this treat has a LOT of cherry flavor! You have to like cherry in order to enjoy this treat — there are actually small bits of cherries in the mousse.
And this mousse is VERY sweet, like, make your teeth ache sweet!
But luckily, there are elements in the dessert that help with balancing out that sweetness. The cacoa nibs are pretty bitter, so it cuts some of that sweetness if you take a bite with the mousse and the cacao nibs.
The shortbread cookie underneath it all added a nice texture that this treat definitely needed! It also helped with cutting the sweetness of the mousse.
The whipped cookies ‘n cream fluff is really tasty, and might be our favorite part of this whole dessert!
Overall, this is a delicious treat, but be warned that it is super duper sweet. Even though it’s kind of small, we would probably split this with someone next time just because of how sweet it is.
If you love cherry — this is a cherry bomb of flavor! Chocolate lovers will enjoy this too, as long as they also like cherries. And, don’t worry, this doesn’t have an artificial cherry flavor, ya just gotta like real cherries to enjoy this!
To try it out for yourself, grab it over at Catalina Eddie’s on Sunset Boulevard for $5.79! And, stay tuned as we review the other new treats that debuted in Hollywood Studios today.
