So many Valentine’s Day treats, so little time… .

But that still hasn’t stopped us from trying as many Valentine’s Day snacks as we can find at Disney World. Seriously, we’re going to have a massive sugar crash after this weekend after eating things like a bouquet of Mickey and Minnie waffles, a cake with an edible diamond ring, a red velvet whoopie pie, and more! But here we are, having a Valentine’s Day Dole Whip, too!
If you head to Pineapple Lanai at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, you may not see a sign for the Red Pineapple Heart Dole Whip (that’s the name it rang up under) — but it IS something you’ll be able to get for a limited-time. This is basically a regular Dole Whip with whatever flavor you choose (we chose classic Pineapple).

But as you can see, this Dole Whip has undergone a Valentine’s Day makeover and is red — the red is an edible cocoa butter spray they use over whatever flavor you get. It forms a light harder shell over the Dole Whip, but it doesn’t affect the flavor. Our pineapple just tasted like the usual pineapple.
It’s certainly pretty
Two strawberries cut like hearts give it even more of a glow-up. However, be warned — we lost both strawberries as our Dole Whip began to melt. They fell off into the bushes and we never saw them again — the hazards of being a DFB reporter, y’all!

Anyway, this is a fancy Dole Whip that still has classic Dole Whip flavors — and we’re not mad about it. If you’d like to try this for yourself, head on over to Pineapple Lanai and grab it for $5.79.
