It’s almost Lunar New Year, which means it’s time for Disneyland Resort to get ready for their annual Lunar New Year Celebration! Disney loves to go all out every year with delicious eats, great merch, and some really cool parades and meet and greet opportunities.

Today, we’re taking a look behind-the-scenes at an AMAZING mural that just arrived in Disneyland Resort and the story behind it!

Elizabeth Lisa Kang, who is an Associate Art Director at Walt Disney Parks Live Entertainment, created this gorgeous mural to celebrate Lunar New Year at Disneyland Resort! The artwork is inspired by traditional Korean folk art called Minhwa, but you’ll find elements of Chinese, Vietnamese, and other East & Southeast Asian cultures represented too. Characters like Mulan, Mushu, and Tigger (who’s the mascot of this year’s event since it’s the Year of the Tiger!) are all here and the artwork is seriously top-notch.
