Remember last fall when Disney World dropped a TON of 50th Anniversary Celebration snacks? Well, some of those treats have gone away…but they’ve recently been REPLACED by some new treats!

We’ve already checked out the Slue Foot Sue Fish Sandwich and the Donald Duck Dome Cake. Now, we’re heading over to Plaza Restaurant in Magic Kingdom to take a look at their UPDATED Cheers to 50 Years ice cream sundae.

The “Cheers to 50 Years” has been around since October 1st of last year, but Disney announced that it would be ‘refreshed’ starting today! This massive $32 dessert comes with Chocolate and Vanilla Ice Cream, Brownies, Pretzels, Hot Fudge, Caramel Corn with Chocolate Drizzle, White Chocolate-dipped Chocolate Chip Cookies, and Whipped Cream…all with a Cherry on top.

It sounds like they ditched the cupcakes along with the Mickey pretzel that previously served as one of the many garnishes on this dessert (gone is the EARidescent Sugar as well) and replaced them with full cookies (that add a cute Mickey ears look to the sundae!) as well as caramel corn. We also noticed chopped Twix candy bars and Strawberry sauce on our sundae!

Now included with caramel corn and full cookies as opposed to just cookie crumbles.

When we got ours, however, we couldn’t help but notice a familiar color scheme that you may recognize from the past couple of months… .

Wait a minute…

We spotted quite a bit of red and green in our sundae, almost as if this was meant to be some sort of holiday treat instead of a 50th Anniversary Celebration treat.

Those are definitely red and green sprinkles!

And while all of the fixings were there, but it didn’t quite match up with the photo Disney shared on their Instagram. It definitely threw us off for a moment after it arrived at our table!

Once we got past the rather “festive” color scheme, we totally dove headfirst into our mountain of ice cream! As yummy as this treat is (and it’s big enough to feed four!), we preferred its previous version — after all, it’s not every day you see an entire Mickey Pretzel sitting on top of an ice cream sundae! The previous version just seemed to scream “50th Anniversary” a bit better than this one does. Also, the previous version also had the glass bowl dipped into frosting, but ours today was just…plain.

Hey, it’s still yummy ice cream.
