Happy Holidays, DFB Readers! With Christmas just around the corner, it’s almost time to say goodbye to Festival of the Holidays and Very Merriest After Hours, and time to say hello to the Festival of the Arts!
Today, we’re taking a look at what crowds were like the weekend before Christmas! With lots of people taking holiday trips to Disney World, especially around the 25th, lots of people can be expected in the parks this time of year.
Magic Kingdom
With Christmas just around the corner, Magic Kingdom was fairly busy this weekend! As usual, Main Street, U.S.A. had quite a bit of a people in the morning and throughout the day.
Some areas, like Liberty Square and Frontierland, weren’t too busy throughout the day and there were definitely some pockets of the park that were empty.
Meanwhile, big-ticket areas like Fantasyland…
…and Adventureland earned some big crowds during the day!
It wasn’t middle-of-July level crowded, but you could definitely sense that it was a busy time in Disney World.

EPCOT
This weekend, EPCOT had its usual Festival of the Holidays hustle and bustle, with moderate crowds throughout World Showcase as people made their way to food booths or their next destination.
Crowds in individual pavilions like the Japan Pavilion weren’t particularly severe, but you can definitely tell things are getting a bit peopley out there in Disney World.
Although it’s moderately crowded at EPCOT, it wouldn’t be surprising to find walkways near Future World…
…and in World Showcase that are relatively empty, so don’t worry, there’s still plenty of breathing room at EPCOT.
Overall, it wasn’t particularly busy at EPCOT, but it certainly wasn’t a ghost town either!

Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Hollywood Studios, as is often the case, was one of the more crowded parks this weekend!
High-volume areas like Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge continued to draw in large crowds, with plenty of people heading over to Rise of the Resistance, Smugglers Run, and the areas’ many shops.
Restaurants like Pizzerizzo saw their outdoor dining areas fill up…
…and there were some pretty long lines for attractions like Tower of Terror.
However, on Sunday morning, Early Theme Park Entry, a perk for resort guests that allows them to enter the park early, was extended from 30 minutes before opening to a full hour. We got to enjoy a mostly empty park on a foggy Orlando morning.
However, after the Early Theme Park Entry was over, the crowds were back in Hollywood Studios!
There were especially long lines and big crowds for the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular, which came back today!
