The EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays is officially underway!

We’ve been making our way through the DELICIOUS items at the food booths, keeping an eye out for little Olafs, and are super excited for the return of Candlelight Processional. Right now, we’re tackling one of the NEW items at the Festival and it is truly the fried holiday dessert we never knew we needed.

If you’re looking for a sweet treat at the Festival of the Holidays, you can head over to the Funnel Cakes kiosk in the American Adventure Pavilion. While this spot is open year-round, it tends to serve special items during EPCOT’s festivals.

This spot has served up some of our FAVORITE items during past festivals, so we were thrilled when we heard about the NEW dish that would be available during the Festival of the Holidays — the Mini Pumpkin Pie Funnel Cake!
Food
Of course, we had to grab one of these mini creations to try it out for ourselves. The Mini Pumpkin Pie Funnel Cake is made of pumpkin funnel cake topped with ice cream, whipped cream, and graham cracker crumbles.

Let’s go over that again. Fried pumpkin funnel cake. Ice cream. Whipped cream. Graham cracker crumbles. HELLO?! That sounds like a total win in our book, and it also looks like an amazing treat, but how does it taste? Well, we’re just going to tell you now that if you love pumpkin, you can’t beat this dessert.

The pumpkin funnel cake PLUS the pumpkin ice cream PLUS the pumpkin sauce drizzle is quite literally pumpkin heaven.
We want MORE!
And although we expected this to be SUPER sweet, it actually has a perfect flavor combination that just reminds us of fall.

And the combination of the crisp and fresh funnel cake plus that smooth creamy ice cream makes for a dessert that is — shall we say — chef’s kiss.
