What’s up DFB friends! It’s time for another edition of what’s new at Magic Kingdom!
This past few days we’ve seen some new foods, more construction, and even the Main Street Philharmonic Band performing in front of Cinderella Castle! Let’s get into it.
Magic Kingdom Food Updates
The Opening Day Celebration Cake debuted in Magic Kingdom! We found it at the Main Street Bakery (also known as Starbucks) on Main Street, U.S.A.. This new treat is made with a gluten-friendly chocolate cake base, milk chocolate mousse, and a strawberry center, topped with balloon sprinkles and a chocolate piece on the end.
We loved the flavors of this cake, but the texture was a little…well, slimy. It costs $6.99 at Main Street Bakery!

Now at Storybook Treats is the new Seven Dwarfs Specialty Cone for $5.99, and it has an unexpected ice cream flavor! This new cone is made with cranberry-vanilla soft-serve ice cream, decorated with a chocolate belt buckle and a chocolate Grumpy face.
We enjoyed this cone! The cranberry flavor was refreshing, and it wasn’t overwhelming or super strong. Find it at Storybook Treats in Fantasyland!

Magic Kingdom Construction Updates
Construction continues at Mickey’s PhilharMagic in Fantasyland. The attraction is scheduled to reopen on November 12th with a new scene from Coco, and the sign has returned to the attraction!
We can’t wait to see the new Coco scene debut, so stay tuned to DFB for more updates!

Over by Cinderella Castle, the Partners Statue was blocked and roped off briefly this week.
And today, a stage has been erected around the Partners Statue! This new stage is covered in shimmery EARidescent colors for Disney World’s 50th anniversary.
This is likely being used for holiday filming!
Magic Kingdom Merchandise Updates
Emporium
Over in Emporium, we spotted a new shiny pink 50th Anniversary Loungefly Mini Backpack for $110. Though it’s pink-tinted, it also shimmers with some of the 50th anniversary EARidescent colors.
The front pocket, bow, and ears are covered in multicolored sequins too!
This new mini backpack costs $110 at the Emporium.
Uptown Jewelers
And at Uptown Jewelers, there was a new Christmas Paws MagicBand for $58. It comes in a special box and is limited edition, with only 5,000 MagicBands made in total.
The holiday MagicBand is made by Dooney & Bourke and features our favorite Disney dogs dressed festively for the holidays.
It also comes with a gold Dooney & Bourke slider!
There were also several new Citizen watches added to the display case!
The watches range from $275 to $350, like this EARidescent Partners Statue Watch for $275…
…or this Blue Park Icon Watch for $375.
You can find these new Citizen watches at Uptown Jewelers.
Frontier Trading Post
There was a new Minnie Mouse Thanksgiving Pin for $15.99, featuring Minnie being “sweet as pumpkin pie.”
Along with some festive pumpkins and a pumpkin pie, the pin says, “2021 Happy Thanksgiving.”
Main Street Cinema
At Main Street Cinema we found new flavors of Rock Candy! This box comes with Cotton Candy Rock Candy.
If you enjoy crunchy candy, head to Main Street Cinema for a few new flavors!
Magic Kingdom Various Updates
The Main Street Philharmonic Band performed in front of Cinderella Castle! Usually, you can find the marching band performing on Main Street, U.S.A..
They performed ragtime songs, show tunes, and classic Disney songs, which is their usual set. We aren’t yet sure if this is a permanent change or just a temporary change of scenery.

Splash Mountain was briefly down for technical difficulties, which as we all know happens from time to time in Disney World.
