REVIEW: The ONE Fall Cupcake You NEED to Try in Disney's Animal Kingdom

Disney World has been very busy decorating for the holidays recently.

We’ve seen decorations go up in a few of the parks, new holiday merchandise online and in the stores, and even some new holiday treats at the bakeries. But if you’re wondering what happened to Thanksgiving, never fear! There are still a couple of treats that remember it’s still fall! And we found one of them in Disney’s Animal Kingdom today.

We were looking for some new holiday treats at Flame Tree Barbecue in Animal Kingdom when a Cast Member told us that their newest item was actually there for Thanksgiving.

It’s the Celebration of Autumn Cupcake, and yes, it’s huge.

This treat is a pumpkin cake with a toffee cheesecake filling and cinnamon-flavored frosting on top. It’s decorated with a Tree of Life decal, a couple of candy pumpkins, and autumn leaf sprinkles. You can get one for $5.99. We had this treat last year as well, and it used to be at Creature Comforts. The Celebration of Autumn Cupcake might appear there too later on this year, but for now, you’ll need to head to Flame Tree Barbecue.

This cake is everything that fall lovers want. The cake is moist and has a VERY prominent pumpkin flavor.

We love it.

And the decorations are very festival! If you want a fall-looking treat for Instagram, this is it. Check out those sprinkles along the base. They’re giving us a very “Colors of the Wind” vibe, which is perfect for fall.

So cute!

This was honestly one of our favorite cupcakes ever at Disney World. The cake melts in your mouth, and the cinnamon frosting was pretty new to us. Usually, these are just topped with copious amounts of plain buttercream, but the added spice made this frosting a million times better. And there wasn’t quite as much frosting as there was cake, so the ratio was just right, in our opinion.

The toffee cheesecake filling had little chocolate chips mixed in as well, which sealed the deal for us. We’re in love.

It’s perfect.

If you love fall flavors, get ready to be amazed by this cupcake. It’s definitely heavy on the pumpkin, cinnamon, and toffee flavors, so if you don’t love those then we’d recommend trying something else! Zuri’s Sweet Shop over in the Africa section of Animal Kingdom has plenty of options to choose from (including some holiday additions now!).
