When we think of Disney entertainment, we might think of Disney movies and TV shows, but Disney has also given us some amazing stage musicals, including musical stage adaptations of Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, and Aladdin!

We love Pooh!
And now, another musical stage adaptation is headed to off-Broadway and it stars a certain silly old bear.
We’ve already told you about Winnie the Pooh: The New Musical Adaptation. Tickets went on sale on June 1st for D23 members and June 14th for the general public. The show features music by the Grammy-award-winning Sherman Brothers, as well as other music by Pooh’s creator, A.A. Milne. The show uses life-size puppetry to tell its story. And now, People.com has posted some brand new photos from the musical.

And all of our favorite Pooh characters are coming along for the show, including Pooh (of course), Christopher Robin, Piglet, Eeyore, Kanga, Roo, Rabbit, Owl, and Tigger.

The show features some fan-favorite Pooh songs, including “Winnie the Pooh,” “The Wonderful Thing About Tiggers” and “A Rather Blustery Day.”

This is the first new Disney musical since Frozen and is the first Disney musical to debut off-Broadway — and it’s already breaking box office records for the largest advance of any show at Theatre Row in New York City. The musical debuts on October 21st.

There’s even a trailer for the musical:
Tickets can be purchased from the official website. Also, note that proof of vaccination is required for adults and children eligible for the vaccine. Children younger than the eligible vaccine age must submit a negative COVID test — a testing facility will be available outside the theater. Audience members must also remain masked when inside the theater.
We’ll keep you updated on any other Disney theatrical productions, so stay tuned!
