We don’t know if you’re like us, but we love hunting down Hidden Mickeys! And well, we look for Hidden Mickeys everywhere (and not just at Disney Parks, because, well, maybe we’re obsessed!).
So we get super excited anytime we spot a new one. And lately, we’ve seen some pretty cool Hidden Mickeys, including on ice cream cones (no, really!!!), on small areas on rides, on tires, in drawings, and more! It’s just so much fun doing our own scavenger hunt as we look for these tiny, yet incredible, details that Imagineers have added to Disney World. Our latest Hidden Mickey can only be seen from the SKY!
And although we’ve spent countless hours (days, even) hunting down Hidden Mickeys at Disney World, we also look for them outside of the parks — because, well, we can see them everywhere. But sometimes, you can’t see them unless you can look at them from far up above, like this Mickey on the lawn of Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

Hidden Mickey on the lawn at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
Over on Google Maps, look at Disney World in the satellite view and you might spot a Hidden Mickey! It’s located about 20 miles from Disney World (for reference, Magic Kingdom is in the right corner of this screenshot). Do you see it?
Let’s zoom in a little bit… and… VOILA! There it is! Disney World has solar panel fields shaped like Mickeys. And we’ve seen a lot of landscaping details with Mickeys, like the one at the Contemporary above. This doesn’t LOOK like a solar panel field, though, or some landscaping.
According to Attractions Magazine, this is a Mickey Forest! The land used to be orange groves, but the orange trees died during the frosts in the 1980s, and the land remained undeveloped after that. So in 1992, some Cast Members got together and planted new trees there in the shape of a giant Mickey! According to Orlando Sentinel, over 60,000 pine seedlings just inches high were planted in the area!
You can also spot this Hidden Mickey on flights departing Orlando International Airport, so be sure to look out the window the next time you fly back home from a Disney World trip if your plane heads in just the right direction. The Hidden Mickey Forest is currently located in fenced private property, so the best way to see it is from an airplane (or on Google Maps). You can actually find it by searching Mickey Mouse Forest on google!
And if we spot any other Hidden Mickeys, we’ll be sure to let you know!
