It’s official! Disney World’s 50th anniversary celebration has kicked off!

Not only have we been in all four theme parks today, but we’ve visited the resorts to see how they are getting in on the celebrations! A good amount of Disney World’s long list of 50th anniversary treats are at the resorts, so let’s check out one of the sweet treats at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge!

For this new treat, you’ll want to head over to The Mara — a quick service restaurant in the main area of the resort. Here you’ll find a Chocolate Mousse with a cardamom financier! It looks gorgeous, but let’s talk about the taste.

We loved the light and airy mousse on the top — it was a great texture. It’s really rich in chocolate flavor, so if you’re a chocolate fanatic, this is definitely for you! However, if you don’t like chocolate (like…a LOT), then you may want to pass on this one because it may be overwhelming. There are also quite a few sprinkles.
