We’ve been checking out the parks all day to give you a look at the crowds, new entertainment, decor, merchandise, and specialty treats! In case you missed it, there are about 150 new treats for Disney World’s 50th anniversary, and we’ve been giving you our thoughts on them throughout the day. Now, we’re headed to Disney’s Animal Kingdom to check out a new snack and margarita!

Nomad Lounge is one of our favorite places to hang out at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, so we’re excited that this spot has some new 50th anniversary treats!

We love Nomad Lounge!

First up is the Firefly Margarita which is made with Casamigos Reposado Tequila, ancho reyes liqueur, lime juice, simple syrup, and pineapple juice. It’s on the menu at Nomad Lounge, but we actually picked ours up nearby at the Dawa Bar instead. The drink is a bit on the pricier side at $16, so let’s see how it tastes!

Firefly Margarita

It’s a beautiful color, but don’t let that fool you — this thing packs a PUNCH. It’s legitimately spicy with a pineapple dunked in red chili pepper and that red chili liquor. We see why it’s called a “firefly” margarita, because it definitely lit up our taste buds.

It’s so green!

Don’t mind us, we’ll just be drinking lots of water in the next few hours to try and recover. Ouch.

If you want a hearty snack at Nomad Lounge, you can grab the 50th Celebration Chili Dog! The dog is made with grilled sausage, venison chili, and pickles, so it’s a unique take on the classic American chili dog.

50th Celebration Chili Dog

Instead of one regular-sized dog, it actually comes in two mini dogs (could we call them pups, perhaps?). However, these dogs are the definition of “small but mighty” because they were delicious!

They’re so little!

The sausage is a little spicy, but combine it with the sweet rolls and you have a match made in heaven. The chili also added a little spice, but truly enjoyed it — it’s not every day that we get something spicy in Disney World. $14 well spent, if you ask us.
