Ahead of the 50th Anniversary, Disney World has been doing quite a few refurbishments!
Magic Kingdom is preparing for the 50th Anniversary!
We’ve seen paint jobs, short attraction closures, and updates to many things around the parks…particularly at Magic Kingdom. The Main Street Confectionery has been one of the places that are getting an update, and now, we have a reopening date!
On the Disney World website, the Main Street Confectionery has been listed as “under refurbishment” for a while. But now, the fan-favorite shop is showing hours starting on Wednesday, September 29th — that’s next week!

It has also been taken off of the daily refurbishment schedule starting that day. For September 29th, the only attraction under refurbishment in Magic Kingdom is the Walt Disney World Railroad.

Update: Disney recently confirmed via Instagram that something sweet will be returning to Magic Kingdom on September 29th! More information about the reopening of the Main Street Confectionery is set to be released soon.
