It seems Disney is going for a bit of a spicy trend recently!!
Time for a Trip to Candy Cauldron
Recently, we’ve seen a new drink with Tajin introduced at one Disney World spot. We’ve also added a bit of spice to our DOLE whips and even gotten a spicy apple! Today, at the Candy Cauldron in Disney Springs, we found another treat with a bit of spice!
Introducing the NEW Chili Lime Cupcake!
Chili Lime Cupcake
The cupcake was green in color and appeared to be predominantly lime. The cupcake was then topped with what tasted like a vanilla frosting, dusted with some chili seasoning, and topped with Mickey ears and a bow decoration.
Anyone Want a Cupcake?
So…did Disney World actually create a SPICY cupcake?! Overall, the lime flavor was definitely present and you could taste it, but it wasn’t too overbearing. The chili flavor wasn’t too strong though. You could taste the spice but it was more present in terms of flavor than heat. So, it wasn’t quite the spicy cupcake (in terms of heat) we might have expected or some of you out there might have hoped for. But, it did have some spiciness to it in terms of flavor (not heat).
We actually think the chili flavor could have been stronger! Adding some more chili in there really would have given it more complexity and helped take the flavors to the next level.
A Sweet Treat With a Bit of Spice
Still, we thought this cupcake was pretty good! If you’re looking for something that’s sweet but also has a bit of spice (again, in terms of flavor but not really heat), then this might be a good choice!

If you don’t like sweet treats (it is a cupcake after all) or you’re not a fan of that chili flavor, then this might be a pass for you!
