The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted many businesses around the world and has had tremendous impacts on the travel industry.
We’ve been looking for updates regarding travel, especially when it comes to crowd levels at Orlando International Airport. Recently, we also shared some details about how Orlando International Airport was expecting to exceed pre-pandemic crowd levels during the Labor Day weekend. So, just what did the travel levels look like at Orlando’s airport during this holiday?
According to WESH 2 News, in the six-day travel period for the Labor Day holiday “at Orlando International Airport, the number of departing flights is up 7% over 2019.”
WESH notes that Tuesday (September 7th) will actually mark the end of the 6-day travel period for the Labor Day holiday, but traditionally that is the least traveled day.
This past weekend, we also saw an increase in crowds at Disney World, likely due to the Labor Day holiday.
But, it seemed like crowd levels on Monday (Labor Day itself) were a bit lower (at least in some spots) compared to what we saw during the weekend.
Click here for a full look at what the Labor Day crowds looked like in Disney World.
With Disney World’s 50th Anniversary approaching, as well as Halloween, Thanksgiving, and the winter holidays, we’ll be interested to see how the crowd levels in Disney World continue to change and evolve.
We’ll keep an eye out for updates and changes to the crowd levels in Disney World, and we’ll let you know what we find. Stay tuned for more updates.
