Disney World Annual Pass sales were suspended when the parks closed back in March of 2020.
Ever since then, frequent Disney-goers have been waiting for Annual Passes to resume sales, and we now know that it’s this month! However, there have been some MAJOR changes, and we’re not gonna lie, it can be really confusing! Our readers have had lots and lots of questions, and we’re doing our best to keep you informed about the latest at Disney World.
That’s why we want to break down the entire new Annual Pass program in 500 words or less so that you can better understand it. So let’s dive in!
Disney World recently announced a new Annual Pass system that includes 4 new pass options: the Disney Incredi-Pass, the Disney Sorcerer Pass, the Disney Pirate Pass, and the Disney Pixie Dust Pass. The 4 passes offer admission to all 4 Disney World theme parks and have various levels of theme park access, benefits, and Park Pass Reservations.
The new Annual Passes will go on sale on September 8th and will be available to purchase on the Disney World website, at theme park ticket windows, the Ticket Center at Disney Springs, or by calling 407-W-Disney (407-934-7639). Here is a breakdown of what each Annual Pass offers and the cost:
- The Disney Incredi-Pass costs $1,299, has NO blockout dates, and allows passholders to have 5 Park Pass Reservations.
- The Disney Sorcerer Pass costs $899, has limited blockout dates, and allows Passholders to have 5 Park Pass Reservations; only available to Florida residents and DVC Members.
- The Disney Pirate Pass costs $699, has blockout dates including peak times and holidays, and allows Passholders to have 4 Park Pass Reservations; only available to Florida residents.
- The Disney Pixie Pass costs $399, has the most blockout dates including peak times, holidays, and weekends, and allows Passholders to have 3 Park Pass Reservations; only available to Florida residents.
Only Florida residents can make monthly payments on new passes, and sales will be limited.
ALL Passholders get perks including standard theme park parking, park hopping, discounts (up to 20% off dining, merchandise, and activities), V.I.Passholder Support via phone, pass add-ons, exclusive merchandise, and content, and special surprises throughout the 50th-anniversary celebration! Disney PhotoPass used to be included with Annual Passes, but now it is listed as an add-on for $99, along with the Water Parks and Sports option.
Passholders will also have access to pop-up “bonus reservations” that won’t count as part of the reservation limit for each pass! Also, Passholders that are staying at a Disney World resort can make Park Pass Reservations for each day of their stay on top of the limit for their specific pass. There’s also an integrated calendar to easily see blockout dates for each type of pass, view available dates, and make, modify, or cancel the park reservations all in one spot.
If you have purchased theme park tickets, but wish to upgrade to an Annual Pass, you can! Eligible tickets can be upgraded to select pass types and guests can apply the entire price paid for the tickets towards the Annual Pass.
Current Passholders can use their passes as normal until it is time to renew to one of the new passes. However, on September 8th, current Passholders will be able to hold 5 Park Pass Reservations (instead of the previous 3) at once! Here are the renewal rates for the new passes:
- Disney Incredi-Pass: $1,104 plus tax
- Disney Sorcerer Pass: $764 plus tax
- Disney Pirate Pass: $594 plus tax
- Disney Pixie Dust Pass: $339 plus tax
