Disney Cruise Line has resumed sailing and more sailings are set to take place soon.

The Disney Magic
This Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, and Disney Wonder all have upcoming sailings and Disney has been developing and updating health and safety guidelines for those onboard. Now, there’s been a major update to the timeline for health requirements for Disney cruises.
Disney Cruise Line has updated its website to reflect new health and safety measure timing for those sailing on the upcoming cruises. We’ll take you through them to make sure you’re fully prepared with what to expect for your Disney cruise.

Disney Dream
One requirement for cruising guests is registration with the Safe Passage website to upload proof of vaccination, upload COVID-19 test results, or request COVID-19 test kits. Previously, guests could register an account 33 days prior to their sailing. Now, guests can register and create an account associated with their reservations starting 15 days prior to their sailing instead.

This new timeline aligns with the Cruise Date Flexibility policy that applies to bookings confirmed by July 31st and sailings before December 31st where guests can change their sail date up to 15 days prior to embarkation. Also, note that this change shortens the time window in which guests can request test kits from Safe Passage.
If you change your itinerary or the sail ID changes, you will need to re-register your reservation with Safe Passage. In the event that a test kit was already ordered when you need to re-register, you’ll need to order a new kit.

Another change was made to the timing for required COVID testing. For all sailings beginning September 13th, the window in which guests 11 years of age and under must take and submit proof of a negative COVID test has been reduced. Tests must be taken and submitted between 3 days and 24 hours prior to the sail date. Reminder, rapid antigen tests are not accepted. The test should be a rapid PCR test or a lab-based PCR test.

The updated policy also notes that ALL guests, regardless of vaccination status, must take a COVID-19 test administered by Inspire Diagnostics at the terminal before boarding. This will come at no extra cost to guests.

Finally, keep in mind that, starting tomorrow, all guests 12 years of age and older MUST be vaccinated to sail to any destination. Guests 11 years old or younger are not required to be vaccinated but must provide proof of the negative pre-trip test. For the Panama Canal sailings, all passengers must be vaccinated.
