Wait, Why Do Seashells Need Surgery in This New Disney Game?

Disney has released some incredibly fun board games that could be perfect for your next family game night.

We’ve seen a Marvel game all about villains, a beautiful “it’s a small world” game, and more! Now there’s a new Disney board game on the market and this one is exclusively for Disney Vacation Club Members. The game itself is based on a classic game you’ve probably played in the past, but it has a very unique DVC twist.

Have you ever played Operation? Operation is the game where you have to use tweezers to “operate” on a human and remove tiny pieces from the board without touching certain corners, or you’ll get “buzzed.”

The new and DVC-exclusive version of Operation lets players “operate” a little differently (and weirdly?) by removing DVC charms from seashells. Wait, seashells need surgery now??

There are twelve different Disney Vacation Club Resort Charms, including the Monorail, a racehorse, a pail and shovel, a flying fish, rose, a paint brush, a penguin, a hibiscus, a giraffe, a steam train, a tiki idol, and a conch shell. The game board will light up and make a sound if your tweezers touch the sides of the seashells during “surgery.”

How did the monorail even get inside of a shell? Or a racehorse for that matter? But, those are questions for another day it seems.

The Disney Vacation Club Operation game celebrates 30 years of DVC, and members must log into shopDisney with their DVC login information in order to purchase this exclusive board game.
