Disney Just Announced MORE Info on the Genie Planning App

During Disney’s Q3 Earnings Call, we learned some new information about the parks, resorts, and Disney+ streaming service! But one thing that caught our attention was the little update on Disney Genie!

Disney CEO Bob Chapek provided some insight into their new “multi-tiered service called Disney Genie,” going as far as to call the new technology “transformational.”

Disney explained that guests will spend less time waiting in line and more time having fun in the parks! Comparing the new service to the current My Magic+, Bob Chapek said, “Genie is that program on steroids.”

Going further into detail, Bob Chapek shared that Disney Genie will “dramatically improve guests’ experiences and make the planning and navigation of their day easier.” The experience sounds like it will be personalized based on “industrial engineering data in terms of how the park is operating that day,” and Genie will be able to “make suggestions on the fly.”

Chapek also noted that Disney Genie will put guests in control, allowing for a “customized experience.” Disney also shared that we should hear more info soon!

We can’t wait to see how Disney Genie will work, and if it will truly transform the park-going experience the way Disney claims it will. Until then, we’ll keep our eyes out for more information, so stay tuned for updates!
