Disney Cruise Line has been through a lot of changes over the past year and a half.
After test cruises were delayed in June, the Disney Dream is now set to resume sailing on August 9th, and there are more policy changes for the cruise line as they adapt to the global health crisis.
Disney has recently updated their final payment policy for Disney Cruise Line bookings, allowing guests to make their final payment up to 60 days prior to cruising with bookings through January 31, 2022. Previously, we saw Disney Cruise Line update their final payment policy through December 31, 2021.
Disney’s website notes that this is a temporary extension for guests booked in “unrestricted stateroom categories.” So if you have a qualified reservation anytime from now through January 31, 2022, you will be able to make your final payment 60 days before sailing. No Disney Cruise Line booking is finalized until the final payment is submitted, which means this will give you time to decide whether you want or need to change your cruise plans.
Disney Cruise Line has also updated their cancellation fees for bookings through January 31, 2022 (previously December 31, 2021). Cancellation fees have been relaxed as early as 119 days to 59 days prior to sailing, depending on your booking category. Make sure to read the fine print to see if your booking qualifies.
