Today is the grand kickoff of Disney Springs Flavors of Florida, taking place from July 6th through August 12th, 2021! We’re at Disney Springs trying all of the Sunshine State-inspired goodies.

When we think of “Flavors of Florida,” one of the first things that comes to mind has got to be Key Lime Pie! We’ve already tried a variety of Key Lime-flavored treats around Disney World, including a Rice Krispies Treat and of course the new Key Lime Pie-flavored treats at Gideon’s Bakehouse.

When we heard that Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew was debuting a Key Lime Pie Donut as part of the summer celebration, we knew we had to hurry on over and grab one!

The Key Lime Pie Donut is a Glazed Donut filled with Citrus Custard piped with Sweet Meringue and sprinkled with tendrils of Lime Zest.

If you’re the kind of person who would gladly enjoy a slice of Key Lime Pie every day, this donut is perfect for you! The Citrus Custard filling was super tart (perhaps TOO tart for some folks), but it mixed very well with the sweetness of the Glazed Donut.

The Meringue on top was perfectly constructed (seriously…look at how magnificent it looks! It almost resembles the Everest Base Camp Macaron), and it was even toasted a bit — the perfect finishing touch! The Lime Zest gave it that extra pinch of citrus flavor you’re craving.

If you love Key Lime Pie, this donut could potentially be your new favorite Disney World snack!

You’ll definitely want to grab extra napkins with this donut — it was super messy when we bit into the donut and the filling started to pour out! You’ll see just how much filling this donut has — you’ll DEFINITELY taste the tartness!
