Disneyland’s theme parks reopened in April, but only California residents have been able to step behind the gates and scream their way around Big Thunder Mountain Railroad or the Incredicoaster.
Things are about to change though! In just a few weeks, Disneyland’s theme parks will become available to out-of-state visitors. It seems like quite a few people may be getting ready to plan their future trips to Disneyland today, and the phone lines seem to be feeling the pressure!
Earlier today we tried reaching out to Disneyland a few times and we couldn’t get through! The first time we called Disneyland’s tickets line (714-781-4636) and pressed option “3” for general park information or questions about theme park reservations.
Eventually, we were met by the following message: “We are currently experiencing extremely high call volume due to recent operational updates. To ensure that all callers waiting to speak to an agent have the opportunity to do so, we have closed our call queue at this time. We will reopen the queue when possible. So please try your call again later.”
The message was repeated once more and then the call ended, without providing us with any option to stay on the line or anything like that.
We called the same tickets line again and pressed the same option and were met with the exact same message after which the call ended.
We then called the hotel reservations line (714-956-6425) and selected option 4 for general information. It then seemingly placed us in another phone line, which appeared to be the same as the tickets one. We selected option 3 for more information and were again met by the same message about the phone lines being closed, and once again the call ended.
Now, this is just our experienced based on a few calls. Your experience may be very different. Disneyland has a number of different phone numbers (tickets, hotels, vacation packages, etc.) and each line likely has its own set of internal options to select from. Depending on what number you call and what options you select, you may get through to a Cast Member or you may be met with the same message we got. Things may also vary depending on what time of the day you call, etc.
But, just be aware that if you are calling Disneyland today, you may experience some trouble reaching a Cast Member.
