Back in 2019, we learned that Chicago hot dog chain Portillo’s was going to open a new location near Disney World! And then we got an opening date for March of this year!

That opening date, though, got delayed — and then got delayed again, and now we have no set date on when it might open to the public. But that hasn’t stopped the chain from considering how it might expand in the area!

According to The Orlando Business Journal, Portillo’s could potentially open a SECOND location near Disney World, in addition to this one. A SECOND ONE! Portillo’s is reportedly in talks to open a second Orlando location on International Drive.

At the moment, no deal has been signed, but it could result in the demolition of the current building that sits in the location that Portillo’s is eyeing. As it stands, Portillo’s has not yet made a statement about a second location, so nothing is set in stone just yet. But we’re not going to lie and say we’re not excited we may have TWO locations to look forward to in the area!
