REVIEW: Chocolate Mickey Waffle Sundaes Are BACK in Disney World!

We’ve shared how to make Mickey waffles at home, we’ve eaten plant-based Mickey waffles, and we’ve even had blueberry Mickey waffles.

OOOOH YEEAAAAA

But, perhaps one of the MOST adorable and fun ways to eat your Mickey waffle is by ordering a Mickey Waffle Sundae with a CHOCOLATE Mickey Waffle in a Souvenir Bowl! We grabbed this treat last year at the BoardWalk Bakery. Later, it seemingly disappeared and we weren’t able to find it for a while. BUT, NOW IT’S BAAAAACK!

OH YEAH friends, it is once again time to grab yourself a yummy ice cream sundae with Mickey waffles in a souvenir bucket! We stopped by the BoardWalk bakery earlier today and found that Mickey Waffle Sundaes are once again available. You can see them listed under the Daily Specials section of the menu.

We Are READY

You can get the waffle sundae in a souvenir bowl for $15.99. You could also just get soft-serve ice cream in a cup for $4.49 if that’s what you’re looking for. Of course, we HAD to get the waffle sundae treat today.

This special creation comes with one chocolate Mickey Waffle, ice cream (we got vanilla), chocolate sauce, sprinkles, and a cherry on top. In terms of ice cream flavors, they also had chocolate ice cream, and a vanilla and chocolate twist available. Note that before this treat used to come with one vanilla and one chocolate Mickey waffle, but today it was served with just one chocolate Mickey waffle.

Is This What Mickey Sundae Dreams Are Made Of?

Basically, it is your standard, good, hot fudge sundae with the addition of a Mickey Waffle! We really didn’t have any complaints about the ice cream — it was your regular, sweet soft-serve type.

In the past, the chocolate Mickey waffle has been wonderfully rich, and we’ve found it to have a perfect consistency. Our reporter who tried the dish today said the Mickey waffle wasn’t as sweet as they were hoping for. But, they said that it was a nice change from the regular waffle.

It’s BACK!

With tax, the treat came out to $17.03 which is on the pricier side for a sundae. And now you only get 1 Mickey waffle as opposed to the 2 you used to get for $15.97 (before tax). But it did seem like there was a bit more ice cream this time than there was previously. Ultimately, you’re really paying the big bucks for that souvenir bowl.
